Our Team
Pierce Samson
WriterHello dear reader! I’m Pierce Samson, fact-dropper, human meme-generator, coffee mug hoarder, and someone who loves to toggle write while making sure my succulents last more than a week. The beginning of my writing journey was mundane—me filling pages upon pages of a personal journal as a frowning teenager. Cut to college and I put my ability to write reams to good use by contributing to various blogs and learning that writing was my calling.
From reviewing local coffee shops and eateries for a neighborhood periodical to critiquing the latest bestseller for a lifestyle blog to covering the latest fad for a health magazine, I dabbled in all kinds of content, finally making my way here, where I have contributed for 4 years.
Creating diverse content for a vast audience has been the highlight of my career thus far, and while my contribution could seem like a drop in the ocean, it’s my prized oyster.
Paul Vernon
ContributorHello! I’m Paul Vernon, a regular contributor to this site. Dabbling in a bit of everything, from auto to lifestyle, music to literature, science to home economics, I like the vast array of opportunities it gives me to enjoy what I like doing best.
Starting off as an intern with a large media house gave me the push I needed to make headway in the field of writing as a possible career. Moving from beat to beat, filling in gaps in personnel, and playing second fiddle to those with more knowledge was a learning experience worth its weight in gold.
Not sticking to a beat gives me the freedom to write on current trends and fads no matter what the topic. The challenge of learning while you write is too enticing to pass up, so as far as I know, I intend to not limit myself to a specialization.
Rhea Darcy
ContributorHello reader! I’m Rhea Darcy, contributor to this publication, obsessive grower of microgreens, and appreciator of all things literary. My compulsive reading led to a chance encounter with a small media house reviewing books, and from there on, I began my journey in writing. Not wanting to limit myself to a certain genre, I tried my hand at freelancing for various publications and so grew my portfolio and, with it, my decision to chase this career.
Writing for a living is the underrated sibling of reading as a hobby, and as someone who always backs the underdog, I love every aspect of creating content—from ideation to inspiration to last-minute deadline-chasing frenetic keyboard-smashing.
My love for books, from Manto to Chekhov with a generous helping of Plath, inspires all my work, and when I’m not coaxing my microgreens to grow, I’m busy trying to write the next Great American Novel.
Melody Nadine
Senior WriterHi! I'm Melody, making things interesting for readers since 2018. A Sr. writer here, I focus on the more human-oriented topics that come our way, putting my Sociology degree to good use.
My first stint with a media house was as a copy editor for a health publication. While I enjoyed editing other peoples' work, I realized it wasn't for me. I wanted to be the one to write and deep dive into creating content. So, in my spare time, I wrote puff pieces and filler content and quickly got the hang of it, eventually moving to the writers' desk, having successfully made the transition.
A Trekkie for life, I abhor fast fashion, never plan ahead, take one day at a time, and love trying out new cuisines and writing for myself. When I'm not in goblin mode, I like tending to my small window garden—telling my plants to live long and prosper.
